Neighborhood Housing Partnership is part of a local Foreclosure Prevention Task Force comprised of local realtors, appraisers, lenders, local & state officials, Legal Aid, and social agencies who are working together to help families caught in an alarming escalation of foreclosures in Clark, Champaign, Logan and Greene counties.

NHP offers free counseling services for mortgage holders that are delinquent on their house payments. NHP is a member of NeighborWorks® America and has teamed up with 10 NeighborWorks organizations across Ohio to provide “back-on-track” loans, credit counseling, and financial education courses to address critical foreclosure issues. NHP is part of the statewide & local initiatives working with lending institutions to focus on homeownership preservation by jointly contributing valuable trade insights to help financially troubled homeowners learn how to work with their lenders to avoid foreclosures.

“NHP is providing crucial one-on-one counseling and assistance. Foreclosures in Springfield  as well as Clark and surrounding counties are at a crisis level. This program is helping people keep their homes and assisting our entire community avoid the harsh consequences and costs associated with foreclosures,” said Tina Koumoutsos, Executive Director, Neighborhood Housing Partnership of Greater Springfield.
